What is a GateManager?

The GateManager is the central management component in the Secomea secure remote access solution. It serves as the hub for managing all connected devices, users, and access permissions. It provides administrators with a centralized interface to:

  • Monitor and control remote access sessions.
  • Assign roles and permissions to users.
  • Oversee SiteManagers and connected devices.

The GateManager is typically hosted in the cloud or on-premises, offering a scalable and secure environment for remote access management.

What is a SiteManager?

The SiteManager is a hardware or software gateway that facilitates secure connectivity between remote users and on-site devices in an industrial network. It acts as a bridge between the local network and the GateManager, enabling:

  • Secure tunneling for device access.
  • Deployment at remote sites to provide access to multiple devices.
  • Configuration and monitoring of connected equipment.

SiteManagers are designed for easy integration into operational technology (OT) environments and ensure robust security for critical infrastructure.

The LinkManager is the client application used by authorized users to establish secure remote connections to devices managed by the SiteManager. It enables:

  • Real-time access to remote equipment for maintenance, troubleshooting, or monitoring.
  • A seamless connection interface for end users, typically through a browser or dedicated app.
  • A highly secure connection, leveraging encryption and user authentication to ensure data integrity and privacy.

The LinkManager simplifies access for technicians, engineers, and other users by providing a user-friendly interface for remote operations.
