Activate hosting tariff

As mentioned in the add machine chapter, a machine can only be assigned a contract when the machine exists in the platform. In this chapter, we will be focusing on assigning and activating a contract for a machine.

If you haven't yet, navigate to the mobileiot suite

Enter user data and confirm with login

Navigate to the machines list, in the Machines application.

Activate Machine

So now that we're logged in, we're going to start the process to activating a contract.

Navigate the machines application by clicking on the Machines tile.

Now in the Machines overview, you will see two tabs,

All machines

and

Available for data-hosting

By selecting

Available for data-hosting

you will get a list of machines available for activation.

Select the machine(s)

The contract activation process can be started by hitting the + Activate button on the right side.

Select tariff

Next steps to complete a contract activation are:

First select the tariff required for this machine. Further details on the available contract types what it contains can be found on the ifm website: contract information

Next step is to fill-out the reference number. is a reference number that should be defined by you or your organization which allows you to match the costs of the contract to a certain Purchase Order. Very often, the PO# is used in this field.

Activate

Last step is to actually activate the contract. But before you can finalize the activation, you need to consent to the two items, one asking for your general consent to our terms and conditions, the other that you understand that a fee-based contract being activated.

and the system will show you the process and whether it was successful or not.
